North Atlantic Hurricane Region Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model (ATL-HYCOM)

DESCRIPTION:
The Atltantic Ocean model domain and bathymetry with the implemented rivers (marked as red dots).

The Ocean OSSE system for the extended North Atlantic Ocean hurricane region (98.0oW to 20.0oW and 5.0oN to 45.0oN) has been setup with two different sets of the HYCOM configurations for the uncontrained Nature Run (NR) and the data-assimilative Forecast Model (FM).

Nature Run: 0.04 degree, 35 hybrid 35 layers (2000m reference pressure)
Forecast Model:0.08 degree, 26 hybrid 26 layers (0m feference pressure)
