RSMAS/MPO Coastal and Shelf Modeling

The Intra America Seas (IAS) model domain and bathymetry (contours in m). It covers the Wider Caribbean Sea Region, extending from the Gulf of Mexico to the North Brazilian shelf and including part of the subtropical Atlantic Ocean. The bathymetry includes corrections on Caribbean and Florida sills and passages.

RESOLUTION:

1/25 degree (~3.5 km), 26 vertical levels (sigma/z-coordinate in the upper model layers and near the shelf and isopycnic coordinate in deep waters)
